Katherine joins St. Hilda’s with a decorated career as a pianist, a church organist, and a music educator. Studied and trained at McGill University in Montreal and Trinity College of Music in England, she had held the position of church organist at Ascension Lutheran Church and St. Margaret of Scotland Anglican Church in Montreal, and at the Chapelle St-Pierre in Switzerland.
As a collaborative pianist, her performance with French Horn player Barbara Hillwas featured on CBC Radio 2’s “Westcoast Performance”. She had extensive experience in church and community choirs having previously been a member of Christ Church Cathedral Singers, Women’s Plainsong Choir, McGill Chamber Singers, and L’ensemble vocale de l’orchestre symphonique in Montreal.
