Update December 20.  The District of Sechelt approved the second reading of the rezoning application for the Upper Deck Guesthouse for 'shelter residence' use at its Special Council Meeting.  The application is scheduled for its third reading at the Regular Council Meeting at 7 pm the same evening.

Homeless Shelter Update: Church Committee was in consensus to approve RainCity's request for an extension for the use of the Church's Annex until January 15, 2018. The extension is necessary given the timelines RainCity received from the District of Sechelt regarding their rezoning application. The next date also provides a reasonable timeframe for some upgrading of the new temporary shelter at the Upper Deck Guesthouse. Please continue to hold the shelter staff and guests in your prayers as they anticipate this transition.
