We bid farewell to Beth and Peter, two much loved members of our St Hilda's community. In the time they have been with us they have quietly been very active in many areas. Peter has been a valued leader in the Education for Ministry program and has been our Rector's Warden this year. Beth was an integral part of our Sharing Abundance Kitchen and made great friendships with the participants and with some of our Shelter neighbours. They have both lived out Jesus example of giving dignity and visibility to those who are homeless and live on the fringes of our community. Beth has prepared and provided many many meals for events at St Hilda's. Their laughter and love and presence will be much missed.
We bless them as they return to a community that was home for them before, and are embraced there by family and friends. May all the love you gave us here Beth and Peter be multiplied around you as you settle into "home" in Alberta. May the nourishing love of the Holy be always with you.
Many thanks to Janet McConnell for knitting the beautiful prayer shawl.
