Joining Us at St. Hilda's

Whether you would like to just drop by for a Sunday or Taizé Service at St. Hilda's By The Sea, or would like to join the congregation on a regular basis, we offer a warm welcome to you.

You will find the St. Hilda's congregation and clergy warm and approachable, tolerant and open-minded, diverse and eclectic, and entirely unpredictable in the best possible way. St. Hilda's promotes a culture of inclusivity and individuality within the Body of Christ, and recognizes that the spiritual journey is a deeply personal one, mystical and not governed by rules, rigid expectations or assumptions. Every individual is welcome to attend any service or gathering and participate at their own comfort level in an environment of acceptance and friendship.

If you find that our Church is your spiritual home, joining the congregation is as simple as visiting Karen in the Rectory office and letting her know. Karen will get you registered for the newsletter and email lists for event notifications as you wish. If you are able to volunteer your time as a greeter, usher, reader, sing in the choir, help with the grounds, serve coffee after the services or assist with the Altar Guild please let Karen know. New hands are always welcome and it is a great way to get to know the friendly members of our congregation - we are a social bunch.

For those wanting to formalize their membership in the congregation, you may sign up to receive numbered envelopes for your monetary contributions to the Offering for your tax receipt purposes. Or alternatively you can sign up for pre-authorized giving. Offerings are voluntary, though like any organization, St. Hilda's depends on the generosity of its members to enable us to offer a relevant and vibrant Church community within the greater Anglican Diocese.
